Scope of the conference
Atom Optics is an innovative and challenging research topic of modern physics.
It promises high potentials for innovative applications in the future.
The Baden-Württemberg Stiftung has addressed this potential via funding a
research program with the goal of advancing knowledge in fundamental atom optics research into applications thereof.
The main focus was atom optics in terms of
- coherent matter waves,
- quantum gases,
- matter wave interferometry,
- lithography with matter waves,
- microscopy with matter waves,
- metrologie with matter waves,
- ultraprecise accelleration rotation sensors,
- continuous/intense atom laser sources.
These topics have been addressed within the scope of the research program during the last 3 years. Results will be presented on this conference, and new concepts and ideas in the field of atom optics will be discussed. Leading experts will present the current state-of-the-art.
