Cold collisions of neutral and charged molecules
In my talk I will present experiments on collisions of ultracold neutral molecules with ultracold atoms. The collisions take place inside an optical dipole trap where the molecules are created by photoassociation. I will also present reactive collision experiments of cold molecular ions which are buffer gas cooled in a radiofrequency ion trap. An onset of quantum mechanical behavior was detected in both collision systems.
